| Wow, yeah.... Xanga has definitely slowed down, huh? So I can't breathe out of either nostril now and I'm supposed to leave for India day after tommorrow to lead my first mission trip. I think I have some MAJOR sinus issues. I've gotten a sinus infection everytime I've left for a trip this year and it just is ANNOYING. Speaking of sad and annoying, I had my purse stolen while cheering for Koreans and my friends in Seoul (Ya'll are amazing Virginia, Mike, April, and Christie!!) No more wallet, mp3, camera, handphone....BUT God has totally provided everything I need and I'm feeling way blessed to have the opportunity to go to India and see the orphans there again. We read some of their case studies and some of the orphans at 9 years old knew that they wanted to be preachers. Crazy, huh? I had the team over for Chai and a DVD of my trip last year and it made me super stoked to go. The team I'm going with is a bunch of awesome adults and students. 4 other adults and 8 girl students from here. I'm so excited to get to know them all better. Please continue praying all would go well for the trip and we would get/stay healthy. I know just seeing the kids, dancing, singing and playing will be AMAZING!! I have gotten alot of American Idol bonding time with folks yelling at the screen at Sanjaya "WHAT IS AMERICA THINKING?!" Who are ya'll's favs?!! Peace out. | | |
| I'm back and adjusted finally to life in Korea. It was hard, but my plethora of English Tea is helping and the many American Idol episodes I have to catch up on. I already have a favorite. Can you guess who? Here are some pics from my AMAZING trip to London. Unfortunately, I don't have any of Hilary Swank and I in the bathroom together. Anyways, here's one of some of us and sights from on the top of the Red Bus Tour.
Not on the bus pics:
Students who went at Buckingham Palace: We went to Hillsong London in a downtown theater. It was great to worship with folks in another country.
Virginia looking very British at Tower Bridge:
We did some cool acting workshop when we went to Stratford. Stratford is Shakespeare's hometown. We stayed at adorable B&B's there. Here's a shot from the acting workshop, Stratford street (loved it!) and Liz and I's room.
Sorry it took me awhile to update. We loved the shows. Mama Mia, Wicked, Blue Man Group were probably my favs. I miss the scones! I'm leading 7 students and 5 adults on a trip to the orphange in India I went last year in less than 3 weeks. Please pray as I feel a little overwhelmed now as reality is setting in close it is. I know God will use it to grow and stretch me which is always good. Peace out foos.
| London = AMAZING!!! I'm having the time of my life. Today I spent one heck of a day here in London. Highlights include seeing the Globe Shakespeare Theater, The Blue Man Group, Shopping and buying new shirts, eating ALOT of Indian food, taking the Tube, touring the BBC...AND me standing alone next to Hillary Swank primping (while I was shaking thinking of standing next to a two time Academy Award Winner who I watched a special about on the plane ride here) in the bathroom at the Tate Modern Art Museum. Yes, I didn't believe Virginia when she said she walked past us in the cafe there. Yes, I followed her unabashedly into the bathroom to confirm it. Yes, I peed at a very rapid rate to make it out of the stall at the same time as her. Yes, I controlled myself not to say anything but try to catch glimpses of her as I fixed my hair and sprayed myself with the water faucet. AND Yes, she has wrinkles!! sooooo yeah...London is awesome and that was only one day!! Tommorrow is Covent Gardens to see Tat (former dorm student) and see Mama Mia!! PEACE OUT AND LOVE!!!! | | |
| Thank you all for your prayers, emails and support. Things are doing better and God is merciful and great. I wonder how He can continue to love us unconditionally and am blown away. I don't have enough sleep to formulate much more than that. I did want to post some pics of some BEAUTIFUL young ladies in my dorm from yesterday. This weekend while working I got to bake chocolate chip cookies, watch the latest American Idol, put makeup on my girls for the Winter ball...it's a hard job, but somebody has to do it. Here are some of them in my apartment before hand. Aren't they amazing?! I love them oodles. (Christina Cho in the bunny hat didn't go to the ball but made an amazing apple pie!)
Well, the snow is gently falling and I need to read and possibly listen to a Rob Bell sermon online....and maybe catch a nap. Hope you are all well!
| hey all...i don't need to go into all the details for people to pray, but i would ask that you would pray for me and my family right now if you know me. pray for healing and hope that can only be found in Christ. i know He is the only one who can do what needs to be done.
